Yessss! Finally!
Since my parents started to invite friends and classmates of mine for my birthdays in childhood days … i am now … about 35 years later … liberated from all these things i never wanted.
Not that i don't want to meet people – no way! I love people! I love to spend time with people i like, but not on a base of obligation and redundant rituals!
Planning, celebrations, ›special‹ holidays and the strange grown-up game, that you have to make that ›special‹ day special, that you have to call the one, whose birthday it is … buääääärks!
Gone. Done. Out.
Sitting in a train back to Berlin – after watching my family playing their roles around the coffee table – two thoughts popped into my mind:
1st: Movie Theater
2nd: Ex Machina
Yes!
If i want to see someone play a role, i go to a movie theater – and not to my family!
Made me smile.
